The Light Hotel's 2019 Chinese New Year Promotion (9 January 2019)
The Light Hotel in Seberang Jaya, Penang, has prepared a truly grand feast for the 2019 Chinese New Year. My wife and I had a wonderful time at the hotel when it invited us to preview what is installed during the launch yesterday, 9 January, 2019. The hotel's cavernous lobby was festooned with lots of Chinese festive lanterns. There was a profusion of peonies and peach blossoms, and baskets full of mandarin oranges.

Preview of The Light Hotel's Chinese New Year celebration promotion
It was such a festive occasion yesterday, when we arrived at The Light Hotel. The hotel has invited a lot of people. There were members from the print and social media, as well as numerous corporate guests.
What a feast! Food was everywhere. They were lined up all along the sides of the huge dining hall, as well as occupying pride of place at the centre of the hall. Among the highlights of the evening has got to be the Pun Choy, or Basin of Abundance, which is a luxurious collection of seafood, meats and vegetables. The hotel's own famous briyani rice was nonetheless an outstanding inclusion to the meal. There was so much to eat, that I couldn't try everything. Let me show you the items I have managed to photograph.
