The Pink Row, Kimberley Street (30 June 2012)


The Pink Row is a row of five shophouses along Kimberley Street, in George Town, Penang. The shophouses were recently (as of September 2012) painted over.

Previously they were painted jungle green. Now they are in shocking pink. So pink they would give heritage enthusiasts a heart attack. Despite their garish colours, they are quite a sight in the otherwise drab neighbourhood. They kind of remind me of Kau Keng Chu along Kek Chuan Road. I am not sure at this point in time whether they belong to the same owner.
