The Ship Restaurant is a theme restaurant in
Batu Ferringhi. The it the, well, flagship of The Ship establishment, which operates a chain of six restaurants in Penang and Kuala Lumpur. Other branches of The Ship are located at Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Plaza Gerai Pertama in Kuala Lumpur; Damansara Utama in Petaling Jaya and
Sri Bahari Road in George Town.

The Ship Restaurant was established by Mr Foo Hee Hoon and his wife in the late 1970's. The first outlet was at Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur. The most thematic is the outlet at Batu Ferringhi, constructed to resemble a life-size ship complete wish masts and potholes. It is in the Malaysia Book of Records for being the longest operating Western Thematic restaurant.
The Ship Restaurant brands itself as serving the best steak in town. It also serves seafood such as grilled lobster and tiger prawns, Continental cuisine ranging from roasted rack of lamb to spaghetti Bolognaise and more. Its appetizers include oyster Rockefeller, hors d'œuvre, smoked Norwegian salmon and various cocktails.
The Ship Restaurant in Batu Ferringhi is open every day from 12:00 noon to 1:00 am the following morning.
