Star Northern Hub (6 January 2017)


The Star Northern Hub (GPS: 5.29889, 100.26966) is the base for newspaper publisher, The Star Publications, in the northern region of Malaysia. It occupies a five storey building in Sungai Tiram, Bayan Lepas. This is where the Northern edition of The Star is printed for distribution throughout the northern region. The other editions of The Star is printed at the Star Media Hub in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

The Star also maintains a bureau in George Town within its former hub, which is today known as The Star Pitt Street. That is for the convenience of the journalists who often have to cover news in George Town.

Getting there

The nearest bus stops are along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah within walking distance. Rapid Penang bus 102, 305, 306, 401 and 401E stop at the bus stops on either side of the road.
