TPO Sculpture

TPO Sculpture, George Town, Penang (22 December 2012)


TPO Sculpture (GPS: 5.42155, 100.33661) is the main feature of TPO Friendship Park in George Town, Penang. It was unveiled in conjunction with the launch of the 5th Forum of the Tourism Promotion Organisation in Penang on 19 September, 2012.

The TPO Sculpture is a steel orb with the letters TPO appearing on all sides, and repeated throughout the orb. At the official launch, it was signed by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, President of the Penang Island Municipal Council Dato' Patahiyah Ismail, Mayor of the South Korean city of Gimhae, Maeng-Gon Kim, and the Mayor of the South Korean city of Busan Jung-Gu, Eun-Sook Kim.
