Tua Soo Yah Temple 大士爷

Tua Soo Yah Temple 大士爷 (GPS: 5.3728, 100.27559) is a small Chinese temple in the village of Ujong Paya Terubong, in Paya Terubong, Penang. It is located on the southern part of Paya Terubong just before the road winds uphill. It is managed by the Teong Guan Yu Lan Sheng Hui Festival Association of Ujong Paya Terubong.

The Tua Soo Yah Temple was established in 1972. Its principal deity is Tua Soo Yah (大士爷, Da Shi Ye) while subordinate deities here are Teong Tnuah Yen Suai (中坛元帅, Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai), the Tua Pek Kong (大伯公, Da Be Gong) and Tua Jee Yah Pek (大二爷伯, Da Er Ye Be)

Tua Soo Yah Temple is open daily from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight. The feast day of Tua Soo Yah is celebrated on the 25th day of the 7th month, the feast day of the Tua Pek Kong is on the 16th day of the 8th month, and the feast day of Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai is on the 15th day of the 9th month of the lunar calendar.
