Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Technical Secondary School, or Sekolah Menengah Teknik Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, is a secondary school along
Ibbetson Road in Penang. It was founded on 1 January, 1958, as the Technical Institute Penang. At that time, it shared the premises of the Trade School along Batu Lanchang Lane.

Later on, a condensed course of two years was introduced. By 1964, all courses have been reduced from three to two years.
The Technical Institute Penang was later renamed Sekolah Menengah Teknik Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, in honor of the first prime minister of Malaysia. The school has undergone several phases of upgrading and renovation. This included the construction of hostels, teachers' quarters and principal's residence in 1996, and the construction of the school administrator's office in 2007.
