Victory Lutheran Church (GPS: 5.38041, 100.30293) is a church in Island Glades, Penang. It belongs to the Northern District section of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malaysia. The congregation in Island Glades is the only one on Penang Island, and one of the two in Penang State, with the other in Bukit Mertajam. Nevertheless, it traces its beginnings to being one of the earliest Lutheran congregations in the country.

Lutheran missionaries had visited Penang as early as the year 1900. The Lutheran church planting in this country was the effort of the Leipzig Evangelical Lutheran Mission carried out from India. Many of the early Lutheran missionaries were Germans, with latter missionaries coming from the Church of Sweden Mission.

In Kuala Lumpur, they carried out mission work with the Tamils who were brought to the country by the British to work on the railway, and were settled in the Brickfields area. Today Brickfields is home to the Zion Lutheran Cathedral, and home-base of the Evangelical Lutheran movement in the Central District.

Due to mission work carried out largely with the Indian community, most of the believers of the Evangelican Lutheran Church of Malaysia are Indians, and it is no exception with the Victory Lutheran Church at Island Glades. All along, the language used for ministry and liturgy have been either English or Tamil, although particularly in the Central District, Malay has come into increasing use, due to believers from various ethnic groups for which Malay is the common language of communication.

Victory Lutheran Church is on the Map of Green Lane, Penang
