Long Hai is a small coastal town located 130 km (81 mi) to the east of Ho Chi Minh City. Once a deserted strecth of coastline, Long Hai has recently been developedd, and is now marketed as Vietnam's Riviera.
Long Hai has lovely unspoilt beaches where the water is still clean. Visitors here can also enjoy fresh seafood from the seaside restaurants while enjoying the atmosphere.
One of the attractions here is the Mo Co Temple, venue of the Fisherman's Festival, when the fishing boats from the surrounding area congregate.
There is no direct public transport to Long Hai, so visitors wishing to get there will have to drive. The journey is interesting. As the people here are predominantly Catholic, you will see a number of Catholic churches on your journey there.
