Nui Ba Den, or Black Lady Mountain, is an attraction located about 66 miles (106 km) to the northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. It is located near one of the major attractions of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cao Dai Temple. However, due to difficult access, few people go to Nui Ba Den. Nonetheless, those who visit it will be delighted by the landscape.

Nui Ba Den rises to a height of 986m (3,235 ft). This forest-clad mountain offers scenis views all around. At the base is an amusement park. However, at the top you find the temple to the Black Lady, a Huong woman who died defending her honor.

Many people exercise by hiking up Nui Ba Den. You can also get to the top by taking a chair lift. During the Vietnam War the mountain was heavily bombarded because it was a Vietcong military camp. Today it has returned to civilian use, and the ancient temples there are getting visitors once again.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
