Vietnamese Drip Coffee is a wonderfully aromatic coffee that you can prepare at home. I first had it at
Pho Viet Cafe in
George Town, Penang, and I love it so much that I asked to buy the coffee powder and dripper (but seeing my enthusiasm, they most kindly gave me a sample pack).
That was a few days ago, and since then, I have had my cup of Vietnamese Drip Coffee on several mornings. It takes some time to prepare. Like this morning, I left the coffee to drip while I go have my shower. When I came out of my bathroom, I can smell the wonderful coffee aroma filling my whole (very small) house.
You can make the Vietnamese Drip Coffee using the manual dripper, or with a coffee brewing machine. I do have a coffee brewing machine, but have not yet tried it with this coffee powder. I have been making it using the dripper from Pho Viet Cafe, and today I will show you how to prepare your own perfect cup of Vietnamese Drip Coffee.
I am using Trung Nguyen Coffee "S" Type which I got from Pho Viet. Here are the implements, along with my own teaspoon. Ah, my teacup is not yet in the picture.

Allow the hot water to seep through the dripper and into the coffee cup. This is when the wonderful coffee aroma is released.
