Women's Centre for Change (GPS: 5.4262, 100.31696), or Pusat Kesedaran Wanita, is a non-profit organisation in Penang. It is also known by its acronym WCC. Its office is on Burmah Road, though its entrance is on Perak Road. The organisation is dedicated to enhancing the position of women in society and to help those who are victims of domestic violence.
The Women's Centre for Change was started in 1982 by a group of concerned individuals to stand up for women's rights as well as to look into laws that are discriminatory towards the welfare of women. The organisation comprises women from all walks of life and include lawyers, clerks, teachers and home makers, among others.
The Women's Centre for Change is open Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm to provide various services such as counselling to women, hospital support, court support and where necessary, shelter.
