Our dinner at Woodlands Vegetarian Restaurant (3 March 2016)
We are in the mood for Woodlands Vegetarian Food, even though we have just been to the restaurant for lunch recently (28 March 2016, just a week before). On our last visit, we were there for lunch. Yesterday, we went there again for dinner.
We have been to Woodlands many, many times for dinner. But yesterday's meal was the most expensive for us so far, as we ordered the most number of items (five), when usually we order at most four, and usually just three. Both my wife and I were feeling hungry that evening, and as you know, there's no better appetizer than hunger.
For our meal yesterday evening, we ordered the Channa Bhatura (RM5.00; my wife's favorite item, it's always on our list at Woodlands), the Paneer Butter Masala (RM8.50), the Baigen Bartha (RM6.00), the Masala Kulcha (RM4.20), and the Butter Masala Dosai (RM4.50). Every item was nice and I enjoyed them all very much.
The reason we went to Woodlands was because, the night before, I had an inkling to eat their Baigen Bartha, which is brinjal cooked with onion and tomato gravy, after seeing something of that sort in a cookbook. My wife, on the other hand, wanted to eat their Paneer Butter Masala. The paneer is a type of Indian cheese. In Panner Butter Masala, it is cooked with butter gravy.
The Masala Kulcha is a type of flatbread with filling inside. It is taken with the various dishes which we use as either dips or toppings. The Butter Masala Dosai is a large dosai (second in size only to the paper dosai) with a filling of mashed potatoes).
The meal was washed down with two glasses of lassi, at RM5.50 each. So the total last night came to RM41.55, inclusive of RM2.35 for GST.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
