Wu Lien-Teh Statue, Penang Institute, George Town, Penang (21 October 2016)


Wu Lien-Teh Statue (GPS: 5.43019, 100.30448) is a bust located within the compounds of Penang Institute, at Brown Road, Penang. It commemorates Penang-born Dr Wu Lien-Teh (1879-1960) for his role in fighting the plaque in Harbin, China. The bust was gifted to the people of Penang by The First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, and officiated by the Right Honourable Chief Minister of Penang, Mr Lim Guan Eng, on 9 March 2014.
