Zemschug Memorial is a grave stone put up by the Russian government to commemorate the sailors of the Zemschug which was sunk in the Battle of Penang in 1914. It is one of the two grave stones for those who perished. The other is the Zemschug Grave Marker at Pulau Jerejak.

The Zemschug Memorial is located at the Western Road Cemetery. It is on the left side of the cemetery as you enter.

Getting there

The Zemschug Memorial is located within the Western Road Cemetery. Upon entering the cemetery, look for the memorial on the left side. Ask for the assistance of the caretaker to locate the memorial if required.
